Frugal Friday

One of my top priorities at the moment is saving money, and making some on the side as well. In this spirit, I have decided to start "Frugal Fridays" where I share my newest ideas to save money.

Earlier this months I wrote about birthday freebies, and now I have stumbled upon savings from radio stations. I have found two radio stations in town, 103.3 and 107.5, that have half priced gift certificates and other deals to local restraunts and attractions. Sometimes you even get good deals on travel.

Don't pass up registering for radio station giveaways either! Your chances are pretty decent with local giveaways. If its free and your interested, what's the harm??

    City Paper has some great half price deals, too. We buy Restaurant.com gift certificates sometimes, but be sure and read the fine print! Some of the restaurants have outrageous requirements in order to use the certificates.

How do you wear high heels, everyday?

I'm a pretty low maintenance girl.  I am happy in my flip flops, jeans and tennis shoes.  However, sometimes that girly side of me kicks in and I want to wear a cute pair of shoes.  Many times, this cute pair of shoes involve high heels. After wearing the cute shoes for a few hours, I'm left wondering ladies...HOW DO YOU WEAR HIGH HEELS ALMOST EVERY DAY? Seriously. I got a new pair of boots for Christmas with a modest heel.  They fit perfect and are super cute.  I wore them to work for the first time the other day and came home with huge blisters on the ball of my feet.  Now I don't have a job that requires a lot of standing and walking. I walk from my car to the office. The Project - February

Well, February did not have the wonderful results that January did. However, I still got some pretty amazing coupons. Pledge (S C Johnson Company) sent a coupon for a free Pledge product ($4.00 value) I wrote 3 Con Agra companies: Chefboyardee sent a $.50 coupon Manwich also sent a $.50 coupon Banquet Homestyle Bakes also sent a $.50 coupon. Mt. Olive Pickles sent a $.75 coupon in response to my compliment and another $.75 coupon for signing up for their news letter. Tyson sent 3 $1.00 coupons good off any Tyson product. Blixtex sent 3 $.25 coupons. Kellog's Pop Tarts is supposed to be sending coupons for signing up with them, however, I have not received any as of yet.
